I am very excited to share these limited edition polishes from the Beaute Louboutin range. Every time Louboutin releases a polish collection I must have it. Yes I am a premium beauty freak as I am sure you are already aware. Ok so let’s get to business.
There are three full size polishes in the Scarabée collection, unlike the Python Vulcano collection which was released as thier Spring limited edition polishes, they were mini size and if you are interested you can find the review by clicking the link. Louboutin Spring Polish collection review and swatches.
All 3 of these polishes are multichome and so they can look very different in different lights, I tried to capture as many shots as I could to show you the real colour, which is not easy when photographing multichrome polishes.
‘Christian Louboutin found his muse in a key piece of Egyptian iconography, the scarab beetle. The iridescent beauty and wonder of this creature sacred to the Pharaohs, inspired three new shades of nail colour – the Scarabée Limited Edition Collection.’ (Taken from the Louboutin Website)
Gahhhhhh don’t the bottles just look amazing, I am seriously in love with Louboutin bottles, they are beautiful and feel extremely expensive (well I suppose that is because they are).
So Let’s start with Scarabee I.
As you can see this has a Pink and Gold two tone chome effect. This is three coats without top coat. Yes your heard right…three coats, which was not like the websites claim that this is perfect in two coats, it wasn’t. That actually disappointed me. After paying £36/$50 for a polish I was expecting it to be like all the other Louboutin polishes and near perfect in one coat and perfect in two, I was mistaken.
Despite the fact it took three coats to get this perfect I did love the Multichrome effect and it was much better than any other Multichrome polish for streaking, if applied carefully it did not streak at all, which is fantastic.
Ok so moving on to Scarabee II.
Well what can I say but it was love at first sight. This is a Blue and Purple Multi chome. I knew this was going to be my fave colour out of the three and that is because it is blue. It is delightful and just perfect and it was perfect in two coats 🙂 and possibly one if you have shorter nails. I don’t think I need to say much about this one.
Gahhhhhhhhh I am in love, I think I found my favourite polish of all time. It is delightful and gorgeous and I cannot praise it enough, thank you for creating this Mr. Louboutin, you have made me one happy lady 🙂
Ok last but certainly not least is Scarabee III.
This Gold and Green multichrome is exquisite, and really gives a feeling of true luxury. Ok so this was also a three coat polish like Scarabee I, but it was again fantastic with application and I only had a few small streaks, mainly due to my heavy hand. It is a really gorgeous Khaki green/gold, very modern.
I took one extra shot of this polish because I managed to capture another facet of the colour in a different room in my house.
This collection is truly beautiful, I really do love this collection despite two of the polishes being thee coaters. If you have to pick between them which would be your first choice?
Look at those colours, I had so many photos of this collection I could have posted hundreds of shots 🙂
Thanks for reading, keep a look out for some nail art using these polishes coming soon.
