Hi everybody today I have a very different review than normal and am actually quite excited to share it with you. I was kindly sent some Kid Licks Edible nail polishes and thought it would not be a proper review without getting my daughters involved so be prepared to see their first YouTube appearance 🙂
I absolutely love the concept of this polishes and think any parent with a child interested in painting their nails should check them out. They are fully organic and edible, yes that’s right they can be eaten.
I think the bottles are so cute and look more like something you would eat than apply to your nails. The flavours or should I say colours are (from L-R) Sour Carrot Orange, Barley Grass Green and Beet Red.
I cannot say they all taste amazing because personally I did not really find the flavours particularly appetising, but my daughters seem to love the Beet Red flavour. As you can see by watching the video.
The girls really enjoyed painting their nails and eating the nail polish. The fantastic thing about it is I did not have to worry about them putting it on their face or in their mouth, and as any parent knows kids love to put nearly anything they find into their mouths at some point in their lives lol.
Below are some pictures of Aanya and Riya enjoying painting their nails.
I did manage to do a swatch of one of the polishes (beet red), however be warned this is like no ordinary polish so it is not ideal if you are looking for a particularly clean polished look for your nails, and is really meant for kids :). It can be removed with water and I actually found my nails felt really soft and nice after I had washed it off, almost like they had been conditioned. I did not leave it on for long and so I cannot comment on if it would leave any stains.
Riya, Aanya and I give Kid Licks Edible nail polish a big thumbs up, I always love getting the girls involved in my hobby so this was a particularly enjoyable review and post to do. Thank you to the Kid Licks team for the lovely samples, I look forward to seeing more colours in the future.
Kid Licks can be purchased directly from the Kid Licks Website at a cost of $13.99.
