Beauty and the Beast L’Oréal Paris Make Up collection

Hi everybody, firstly I want to say a Happy Easter to all those celebrating. Today I am back with a post I have been editing and wanting to post for days now.  It took me longer than anticipated because I’ve been ill as well as having more pictures than ever before to edit for any one post/review.

Yes this is a picture heavy post, and I am excited to share the Beauty and the Beast L’Oréal Paris lipstick and nail polish collection with you.

Beauty and the Beast L’Oréal make up collection box set

First of all can we just take a minute to appreciate the effort which has gone into creating this box set…it is absolutely stunning and I am extremely happy to own it.  It contains 7 sets of lipstick & polish which are based on the main characters in the film. I have plenty more product shots so get ready for photo overload.

The names for the sets are all Italian as this collection and it is only available on Amazon Italy!!! Why I have no clue, but they do ship internationally, more details are at the end of the post.  Ok so now for some close up product shots and swatches.  Each of the polishes and lipsticks as well as being based on a character also have their own names, this is due to the fact the polish and lipstick colours are available in their normal packaging so the colours were not specifically made for this set.

Before I start with the swatches on my lips I wanted to share my natural lip colour with you, as with all colours they can vary dependant on lighting and skin tone, so bare that in mind.

Bare lips with no lipstick

Ok so lets start with Lumière which features the L’Oréal Colour Riche lipstick in shade 231 Sepia Silk, and nail polish in 116 Café de nuit.

I am a sucker for nude lipsticks so I was excited to try this one.  I don’t own any Colour Riche lipsticks so it was my first time trying them.

I love nude lipsticks and polishes and these two are no exception.  The lipstick applied like butter and felt super moisturising.  It did take a few swipes of the lipstick to build up the colour, and I don’t imagine they have the staying power of matte lipsticks, but it was nice to have something with felt comfortable and more like a lip balm than a lipstick.

Next up is Spolverina or Fifi (Lumière’s love interest) as we in the UK and US probably know the character as. This set features the L’Oréal Colour Riche lipstick in shade 374 Intense Plum, and nail polish in 556 Grenat Irrévérent.

I forgot to mention these lipsticks smell devine and take me back to being a kid and playing with my mums make up 🙂

I absolutely love these deep dark colours and the lipstick was again fabulous and so comfy on the lips.

Next up is Mrs Bric or Mrs Potts (the teapot) as we in the UK and US probably know the character as. This set features the L’Oréal Colour Riche lipstick in shade 285 Pink Fever, and nail polish in 226 Nymphea.

I really love the colours they have put together in this box set, however I was not overly keen on the pink, just because I don’t think it suits my skin tone as much as other colours.

Even though I am not a pink fan I quite like this pink and it is very wearable, but it would have been fab if it was a deeper pink like the polish.

I absolutely love this pink polish and think I will be using it a lot over summer, it is such as great colour and the formula is fab too.

Next up is Tockins or Cogsworth as we in the UK and US know the character as. This set features the L’Oréal Colour Riche lipstick in shade 163 Orange Magique, and nail polish in 444 Orange Triomphe.

I am not a massive orange fan, but the lipstick looked interesting and had a slight metallic finish.

Even though I did not think I would like these orange colours I absolutely love them. The polish is most definitely more of a reddish orange and the lippy is just gorgeous, a little less glossy than the other lippies and that is probably due to the metallic finish.

Next up is La Bestia or The Beast as we in the UK and US know the character as. This set features the L’Oréal Colour Riche lipstick in shade 703 Oud Obsession, and nail polish in 668 Bleu Royal.

I love blue and was excited about this set, even though I probably have 10 other very similar blue colours lol.

Gorgeous just gorgeous, both the lipstick and the polish.  Both had great pigmentation and I love both colours.

Next up is Belle or Beauty if you want to call her that. This set features the L’Oréal Colour Riche lipstick in shade 377 Perfect Red, and nail polish in 550 Rouge Sauvage.

I love reds as they are universal and suit every skin tone.

This certainly is a perfect red, both lips and polish.  And unlike many other red polishes I own this was perfect in 2 coats.  Such a lovely ‘perfect’ red for the Belle set.

Last in this beautiful line up is La Rosa or The Rose as we in the UK and US would know it. This set features the L’Oréal Colour Riche lipstick in shade 335 Carmin St. Germain, and nail polish in 110 Crystal.

LA Rosa (The Rose) L’Oréal Beauty and the Beast box set

I was a tiny bit disappointed that the polish was basically a clear base/topcoat.  But I get the concept, the rose in the glass.

This is such a beautiful blue toned red and again would suit any skin tone.

I did stamping on all the polishes and used plates from MoYou London, Bundle monster and Nicole Diary, I also use stamping polishes from Bundle monster and Models Own.

As a round up here are some arm swatches of the Lipsticks, both taken in natural light the first in direct light and the second in shade.

So that’s it folks :).  The full Beauty and the Beast L’Oréal Lipstick and Polish collection.  This set was only available through Amazon Italy and unfortunately the box set is now sold out, although I think there are a few on eBay at ridiculous prices. But do not despair the items can be bought individually and are very reasonably priced at Eur 9.99 for the lipsticks and Eur 5.90-6.99 for the Nail polishes.

If you keep a look out on my Instagram and my blog I have a very special giveaway coming up soon which will have one full set of the polishes as first prize and a Belle Polish and lipstick set as 2nd prize, be sure to enter once I post info about the giveaway in the next few days.

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed this rather long picture heavy blog post, Happy Easter to all celebrating xxx
