Hi everybody, today I am back with a makeup post and I hope to be doing more of these.  For those of you who don’t know I am just as much a make up addict as I am a polish addict and I would like to start sharing make up with you a bit more.

I was lucky enough to be one of the people sent one of the Max Factor Vox Boxes from Influenster who have recently launched in the UK.  Go sign up if you haven’t already, it is a great place to share all things beauty and health related.

I was sent three lip products from Max Factor and I have been using them since I received them a few weeks ago so I could give my honest review.

Max Factor Honey Lacquer, Colour Elixir lipstick & universal liner

Universal Liner

I own a couple of clear/universal lip lines and tbh I tend not to use them much so I was not overly keen on this product when I first saw it.  However that impression quickly changed when I used it with both the Honey Lacquer and Colour Elixir Lipstick.

Max Factor Universal lip liner

I was surprised at how well this liner worked and it gave me a perfect outline which held the colour in place, you will be able to see in pics of the lip colours that there was no feathering using this liner, that is pretty impressive.  It really does what it says it will.

Honey Lacquer Honey Rose

Ok so when I first saw this lip gloss, I was thinking it is going to be way too light for my skin tone and it will wash me out, but I was wrong 🙂

Max Factor Honey Lacquer in shade Honey Rose

As you can see in the tube it looks like quite a pale dusty pink colour and usually these sort of colours do not compliment my skin tone, but this one seemed to almost take on the natural tint of my lip colour and so it did actually look quite nice.

As you can see from the swatch above this is most definitely a sheer gloss, but it can be built up for a more pigmented colour, but I liked it in its sheer form.  It was extremely moisturising and I think a perfect gloss for the summer season.

As you can see it is quite a nice light rose tone, and I will be using it again.

Colour Exlixir lipstick in Shade ‘Pearl Maron’ 36

I was looking forward to using the Lipstick as soon as I received my Influenster box. It looked like a perfect colour to compliment the colour of my hair at the moment 🙂

Max Factor Colour Elixir Lipstick ‘Pearl ‘Maron’

The Shade Pearl Maron 36 is a metallic deep coral pink, and I loved it.  It smelt lovely which for me is always important when trying a new lipstick, some lipsticks can smell like chemicals but this one just smells like a lovely soft classic cosmetic smell, not too overpowering.  I also really like the embossing of the X on the lipstick as well as the packaging with the gold cap and casing, it looks like premium make up without the premium pricing.

I didn’t do any arm swatches with these products as I wanted you to see the true beauty of this lipstick on the lips.  It applied perfectly and was opaque in one swipe, the coverage was great and it was highly moisturising.  I am a massive fan of liquid lippes but I think this gorgeous shade just got promoted to my daily wear lipstick pile.

See what I mean by it complementing my hair, it is like this shade was made for my hair colour lol.

Overall I was extremely impressed with all the products I was sent to test as complementary samples from Influenster.  I am looking forward to seeing what Influenster and brands such as Max Factor have in store for us in the future.

All of these Max Factor products are available to purchase at retailers such as Boots, Feelunique and Superdrug. I think I will be buying a few more of the Elixir lipsticks as there are so many offers on at the moment. The products in this review are actually different prices at different retailers but on average the prices range from £4-8 for the items in this review.

Thanks for reading xxx
