Hi everybody today I am back with six polishes which make up the whole Summer Sea-Sun collection from Prism Polish. You may have seen my swatches of the Spring collection but if you haven’t click here.
This collection comprises of many different finishes and it has something for everyone. This is a picture heavy blog post, 32 pics in total so get comfy :).
So from top left we have Pier Pressure, Baby it’s warm outside, Sun of a Beach, Mer-mazig, Tide down and Shell Yeah. Firstly can I say I love the names of the polishes and always like it when a polish brand spends time thinking of good names for their polishes.
Ok so lets start with the neons from the collection.
Sun Of A Beach
I have never been a big fan of neon polishes for 2 reasons, 1. They are so hard to photograph and need lots of adjustments to camera settings to capture them correctly & 2. They make my skin colour look completely different than it actually is due to the fact I usually have to post process the pics to get the right colour for the polish lol. Anyway, this neon surprised me and I managed to photograph it without having to post process lots 🙂
Oh my this is a absolute beaut for summer. I think I will most def be wearing this during the holiday season. I applied 3 coats and top coat and probably should have put a white coat of polish as the base as this usually makes neons pop, but this popped all on its own. You cannot see it in this swatch but this dayglo yellow has a beautiful subtle shimmer, which can be seen in the bottle shot below.
You can just about see that beautiful reddish pink shimmer, which really gives it something a little different from other neons on the market at the moment.
Ok so lets move on to the second neon from the collection.
This neon coral is a little different again with a lovely subtle gold shimmer which again can only be seen in the macro shots I captured.
This is a super pretty neon and will suit so many different skin tones. Again this is 3 coats with top coat.
Both these neons are really pretty and they changed my mind about neons completely :).
Ok moving on to the Shimmer polish in the collection.
This hot pink shimmer polish has pretty scattered purple/pink shifting flakies.
This colour is perfect for every skin tone and really is a stunner, this is 3 coats with top coat.
Ok so next is the holo multi chrome, of course there had to be a holo polish in the collection 🙂
My goodness you are in for a treat with this beaut, which I actually have on my nails as I type. I got a few pics of this one because one pic is never enough when its a holo :).
The above pic really does no justice to the polish so scroll through the rest to see why this is one of my faves from the collection. It will have you staring at your nails every chance you get. It has quite a sheer finish and would make a fabulous topper to transform normal polish into holo goodness. The above is 4 coats with top coat, I would suggest using black as a base if you want this type of pigment with just a couple of coats of Tide Down.
Serious nail porn with this one. And I am sure any holo lover would love this added to their collection.
Right moving on to the two colour changing polishes in the collection, which are also my faves from the collection.
Baby Its Warm Outside
This polish is a UV reactive polish shifting from sky blue (in the shade) and purple (in the sunlight).
Absolutely stunning, with all the sun we have been having in the UK I have had some fun with this one. Such a pretty polish with the added bonus of being colour changing. This is 3 coats with top coat.
I used a UV light to capture these images as on the day I decided to take my pictures the sun decided it did not want to come out to play.
Ok so last but definitely not least is my favourite polish from the collection which is a thermal polish and the name really fits the polish.
This purple to green thermal polish has beautiful holo scattered flakies throughout which have a red /pink/gold holo shift.
My my this is soooo pretty, probably the prettiest thermal I own and one that I will use over and over again. I love colour changing polishes they keep my occupied on a dull day at work lol.
So there you have it, all six of the polishes from the beautifully curated Summer Sea-Sun Collection from Prism Polish. These polishes have just released on the Prism Polish website and can be shipped to the UK and EU, I believe there will be international shipping coming soon so keep a look out on their website and instagram. The polishes are priced between £7.00 – £8.75 and can also be bought in trio sets the Sea set is £22 and Sun set £20.50.
