Ok ok so I gotta say sorry again, I’m behind with the blogging for the detailed reviews. I have all the pics taken waiting for me to write something to go with them. So you will be in for a blogging extravaganza over the next week as I try to catch up and also post new reviews for nails.
So next in line is the Latest in Beauty – Build your own box option. Each item has an individual price so you can select what you want and know exactly what you are getting. Here are the three Items I selected.
What’s in the box
- Crabtree and Evelyn Hand Cream – Rosewater
- Mama Mio Tummy Rub Stretch mark oil
- Make Up revolution eyeshadow and brow compact
Crabtree and Evelyn Hand Cream – Rosewater – 25g (£2.50)
This is a nice little hand bag sized hand cream. I have tried Crabtree and Evelyn before so I pretty much knew what I was getting.
It has a very faint rose smell to it which is not at all over powering as some hand creams can be. It sinks in very quickly and does not feel greasy, but does feel like its coated your hands, almost like a protective layer. It won’t last me long but will stay in my hand bag for when I am out and about.
Mama Mio Tummy Rub Stretch mark oil – 106ml (£6.50)
I picked this product after seeing it had won the Pregnancy and Birth awards best stretch mark product. After having used bio oil throughout my pregnancy with my twins and still ending up with stretch marks I thought I could give this a try on my ever changing body shape. I have a few stretch marks still on my belly and a bit of loose skin which I know no cream or oil will get rid of, only a tummy tuck will sort that and I’m not even considering one of those lol.
Anyway back to the product. It is probably more effective to use whilst pregnant and the few months after, but I find that my stretch marks are still fading 2 and a half years after having the girls so anything that will help is worth a try.
The product itself is paraben free, which is always a plus point. The scent of the oil is quite musky and reminded me of markets in India as a child 🙂 The first thing I notice is that it is not as oily as bio oil and sinks in a lot better, well it seems to. I cannot really comment on whether it is helping the stretch marks as I have not been using it for long enough, so if i do find it is a wonder product I will be back with another review.
Make Up revolution eyeshadow and brow compact – 4.5 g eyeshadow & 1.2g of brow powder (£4.00)
This is a great little travel compact and has 14 little eyeshadows and 2 brow powders. The colours apparently can vary but I got a great summer colour selection.
I have never tried MakeUp Revolution before so I was pleasantly surprised at the pigmentation of the eyeshadows. They are all very complimentary shades which is very important when creating a palette. I’ve had some terrible palettes in the past with colours that just don’t go together, but this one is great. I always use primer on my eyes when using eyeshadow so it held up quite well throughout the day. You can see the swatches below.
As you can see they are very pretty colours and a great variation, also prefect for summer.
This is a great little travel palette and I think any make up addict would be happy to have it in their make up collection 🙂
